'Mythri' Movie Review and Critics Review, Box Office Collection

"Mythri” a bilingual movie which released in kannada and Malayalam. Other than a realistic story the main positive fact of this movie is the togetherness of Malayalam Super star Mohanlal and Kannada power star Puneeth Rajkumar.
"Mythri" is a social drama written and directed by "Jatta" Giriraj. The movie has an interesting story that is based on the real-life incidents that Giriraj came across. The movie revolves around the story of a yongster, who recalls his lost childhood and the characters that he comes across in his life.
'Mythri' Movie Review and Critics Review Box office collection
Puneeth Rajkumar has played the protagonist in "Mythri." Viewers say it is not a regular Puneeth film and it hardly has any of his punch dialogues, dance and fight sequences. The film features a different Puneeth. Mohanlal, "Aa Dinagalu" fame Archana, Bhavana, Atul Kulkarni and Ravi Kale have played important roles in the movie, which has Ilaiyaraaja's music and Krishna Kumar's camera work.
Cast Performance
It is for the first time Puneeth Rajkumar is seen as an actor in a movie. The actor play his own character, Powerstar Puneeth Rajkumar, hosting the show Karunada Kotiyadipathi. Mohanlal is at his  best in his character, he plays a DRDO engineer/scientist in the movie. Mohanlal and Veda Sastry's pairing up as a couple is feast for the viewers. Atul Kulkarni is playing a Police Officer, whose acting melts heart of the audience. The characters Johnson who play Siddu's friend at prison needs an appreciation. Ravi Kale is good at portraying a corrupted politician in Mythri. Bhavana and Sadhu Kokila has a small onscreen space, which can be said as a cameo role.
Beats
‘music Guru Ilaiyaraaja has composed pleasant and chartbursting music album which has served as an essential component for the script of Mythri. 'Chandranenu Chanda' song in Kailash Kher's voice very heart-touching.
Technical Analysis
Mythri is a full package. It has good cinematography and very well written screenplay. The movie gets a ‘thumbs up' for its technical aspects.
BottomLine
A stellar star cast, comprising Mohanlal, Puneeth and Atul share screen space for the first time. Add to that music by maestro Ilaiyaraaja, and you have a heady combination. The treatment of the film and the story itself is very realistic. A must watch movie with the whole family.

Anegan Movie Review, box office collection

Download Anegan MovieAfter a long time a very satisfied romantic movie, Anegan. Tamil version of the movie released on 13 feb. Hindi and Telugu versions will reach theater on next week. The film tells the story of two lovers, who, despite numerous lifetimes, are destined to separate.

In every birth they are killed by their enemies and the saga continues to the present day, where we are introduced to Madhumitha (Amyra Dastur) at a psychiatric clinic.
Anegan Movie Review, box office collection. Download Anegan Movie

STORYLINE

Madhu is part of the video gaming industry and is constantly under stress due to tight deadlines. She is forced to undergo regression therapy. During these sessions with her psychiatrist she narrates her past life. The first time she lays eyes on Aswhin (Dhanush), she is totally stunned. She recognises him as the lover in all her previous lives.

But Ashwin is unconvinced. He has no recollection of Madhu or their earlier life.

However, he notices some strange things happening around them. Plagued by delusions, their friend and colleague Meera (Aishwarya Devan) throws herself out of the window of their high-rise office building. Their boss, Ravikiran (Karthik) appears extremely sympathetic, but Ashwin senses something sinister.

Their past continues to haunt the present, but this time the lovers are determined to survive.

The fantastical element in the film has allowed the director to experiment with some highly exaggerated stunts.

Full marks to cinematographer Om Prakash for capturing the authenticity of every era and for skillfully maintaining the fantastical quality of the film throughout.

The underlying currents of paranoia and surrealism permeate every scene.

This is also perhaps due to the admirable performance of actress Amyra (of Issaq fame), who makes her debut in Tamil cinema.

She is quite convincing as an irritating half crazy woman who is constantly trying to get her lover to remember their past.

The much-hyped different avatars of Dhanush -- which seems to mostly rely on absurd wigs -- do not make much of an impression.

But performance wise, he comes through for his director.

He has the entire theatre enthusiastically dancing to the rustic beats of Danga Maari Oodhari, which is already a huge rage among the youngsters.

Veteran actor Karthik keeps one entertained with his quirky style.

The narrative technique and interesting screenplay keep things moving at a brisk pace. But on the downside, there are far too many songs and several unanswered questions.

The director has left it to the viewers to decide whether the film is actually about eternal love that transcends death, or a dopamine-induced crazy make-believe world of a stressed out IT professional.

BottomLine

A must watch romantic entertainer with well packed story and framed screenplay.

Picket 43 Malayalam Movie Review, Box Office Collection, Rating

Picket 43, from the director of so many good military movies. Now Major Ravi not interested to deal with war front movies. Picket 43 is a different kind of military background movie, which focusing the feelings of soldiers those who stands in borders to protect our country.
In Picket 43, Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead role as Havildar Hari.
Havildar Hari is posted to Picket 43, one of the most dangerous outpost of Indian Border, his hardships to sustain and the bond he shares with his Pakistani counterpart unfolds the film.
Picket 43 Malayalam Movie Review, Box Office Collection, Rating
Performance Analysis
Pritviraj Sukumaran’s performance make the movie live. One man stellar show was this one from him in which he was so convincing and natural. Mostly at the climax scenes where he scores bigtime with his fine dialogue delivery.
Renji Panikkar with his strong English uttering skills made a mark while Javed Jaffrey made his entry to the Mollywood through a lovely role. Rest of the cast including Anu Mohan, Shobha Mohan, Sudheer Karamana and Hareesh Peradi done their short roles okay.
Technical Analysis
Major Ravi still is the best man to churn out the Military movies that matters in the industry. After a long Major Ravi is back by Picket 43 to the league which he once promised through his first 3 films. This is another good watch from this director who provides an emotionally heavy film which touches the hardships of an army man, patriotism, an unusual friendship and the untold unity between the countries.
Ratheesh Vega's department done a plain job considering the genre of the film. Two soft melodies featured in the stretch of the film which synced with the mood. BGM was not so remarkable, could have done a better job.
Ranjan Abraham's cuts were lacking the sharpness anticipated, it was a relief to see there were not many unwanted scenes or sequences in the movie.
Jomon T John's camera was one of the major highlights of the movie through which he captured all the beauty as well as the darkness of the border.
Genuine efforts deserve an applause and the end credits roll, let's give a salute to these brave hearts who protect us

Mariyam Mukku Malayalam Movie review, Box Office Collection, Rating

Mariyam Mukku is the first directorial venture of popular screenplay writer James Albert and the film had a great star cast of hFahad Faasil, Joy Mathew, Aju Varghese, Manoj K Jayan and new face Sana Althaf as heroine. The film don’t have much promotion and hype before its release and the only hope on the film was James Albert who wrote great scripts such as Classmates and Ividam swargamanu. But the film ended up as a below average affair and it is not a good beginning to James Albert as a director.
Mariyam Mukku is the love story of Felix (Fahadh), a fisherman and Salomi (Sana Althaf). Felix who lost his parents at a very young age is brought up by Mariyan Aasaan (Manoj K Jayan). Felix meets his childhood friend Salomi but at a particular point he has to choose between his Aasaan and the people of Mariyam Mukku as they stand in his way to own Salomi. The events that unfold thereafter form the basic crux of this movie.
Mariyam Mukku Malayalam Movie review, Box Office Collection, Rating
Its a confused script as the scenarist is caught midway through as to whether to proceed as a full length romantic film or add more drama to it. The latter option was chosen and thus that romantic track that was developing well looses its presence.
Direction from James Albert is not that bad and his screenplay had in it to deliver something good but it ended up as an average film that is visually good with all those beaches and sea backdrop beautifully captured by the cinematographer who deserves credit for that. Renjan Abraham has done a decent work on the editing table while songs by Vidyasagar is not upto the standards set by the music director. Still it was refreshing to hear veteran singer Yesudas singing a song here.
Fahadh did a decent job as Felix. It was a neat effort from the Asin look alike Sana Althaf as Salomi who is also making her tinsel town debut. Manoj K Jayan as Mariyan Aasaan was able to make a good presence along with Joy Mathew, Irshad, Nandu, Sadiq and Neeraj Madhav. Prathap Pothan is also part of the film in a very brief role. Aju Varghese also appear in a pivotal role but somehow he was not able to make a big contribution. A lengthy list of other actors are also part of the supporting casts.
Overall, the film could have been a better one had the love story between Felix and Salomi been better handled and given more prominence than the events that unfolded later. Not a bad film but did not provide the required level of entertainment either. Impressed with his direction somewhat but not with the scripting completely and I am going with two and a half out of five for James Albert's directorial debut Mariyam Mukku.

Mili Malayalam Movie Review, Box Office Collection, Rating

Again a Malayalam movie, Mili that portrait a women’s feelings and her life. Traffic director Rajesh Pillai, Traffic was considered as the beginning of new phase in malayalam films because of narrative style that intertwines multiple stories around one particular incident.
In this heroin centric movie Amala Paul plays the title role opposite to Nivin Pauly, It revealing the life of Mili(Amala Paul) who is struggling to come up in life.
The title role is doubtlessly safe in Amala Paul’s hand. She is the major factor which makes Mili special. Amala in a de-glamorous look for the movie and her mindblowing performance is surely earn huge appreciations from viewers.
Mili Malayalam Movie Review, Box Office Collection, Rating
First time the movie will bring a fresh pair on screen- Nivin Pauly and Amala Paul. Nivin and Amala plays two individual who are different as chalk and cheese in the movie.
Yesteryear actress Kasthuri will be seen in a prominent role, who will be a mentor to Mili in her struggle periods.
The movie will have Sanusha, Shamna Kasim, Praveena, Sija Rose, Saikumar etc playing the other pivotal roles. Anishlal handles the cinematography. Gopi Sundar and Shaan Rahman composes the music score.
Mili is produced by Ordinary Films in association with Cross Pictures. Music of the movie is composed by Gopi Sunder and Shaan Rahman for the lines of Harinarayanan

WhatsApp’s web-based chatting launched, only works with Google Chrome

After a long time the most popular messenger, WhatsApp launched its first Web based chat client today. It is one of the most-requested features. Rumors of it coming soon started appearing yesterday when screenshots of the latest WhatsApp app leaked showing an interface for logging into the web app, and now we have an idea of how that interface is used. With the quick scan of a QR code in-browser, you can start chatting with your WhatsApp friends from the desktop.
To log into the service, head over to the Android, Windows Phone, or Blackberry version of the mobile app and navigate to the “WhatsApp Web” screen. From there, you’ll need to scan a QR code that’s on the newly-launched web page. As of right now, the iOS app isn’t compatible with the web client, and the browser-based chat service only works with Google Chrome. WhatsApp says that support for more browsers is “coming soon.”
It’s not yet clear whether or not the launch of this web app is related to recent drama that has gone down over the last couple of days with the developers of WhatsApp third-party chat clients, although the timing is suspicious. The company started banning users of these apps for 24 hours yesterday and then finally sent a cease and desist letter to the most popular app—WhatsApp+—which has effectively shut it down.

Rajinikanth’s new movie Lingaa got released today with overflowing viewers around the releasing centers allover. As per the report from the releasing centers, today Lingaa make a new box office record. Expecting a whooping box-office collection from the style king.
Lingaa released in 3 Languages which includes telugu and hindi. All the 3 languages tamil, telugu & hindi versions are released on the occasion of Super star Birthday, today. Many of the Thalaivar fans started to call it as Lingaa day Decemeber 12, 2014.
Rajinikanth's Lingaa Movie Review | Lingaa FDFS Review | Lingaa Box Office Collection Report
Lingaa Starring Super Star RajiniKanth, Anushka Shetty and Sonakshi Sinha. It was directed by K.S.Ravi kumar. Rajini is touted to play dual role in this film. A. R. Rahman Composed tunes for this film While Cinematography was handled by R. Rathnavelu.
After the several issues faced by Lingaa now its cleared everything by deposit 10cr by the producer in Court for the settlement of story theft issue..
Lingaa is all about building a dam in a village region. Rajini plays dual role in the film, as an engineer Raja who wants to build a dam in a region to solve peoples problems and as Raja’s grandson Linga.
Anushka who belongs to the village finds Lingaa. She bring him to the village and Linga plans to rob a temple in that village. In that time he knows about the problems faced by the peoples over there and then decides to finish his duty, how he does that is the rest of the plot.
Performance Analysis
As like all Rajini movie, a complete one man show. Rajini was at his best, his energy levels and dialogue delivery will be a treat for his fans, his getup looked odd on screen for few scenes, but leaving the film’s fate aside Super star’s performance especially in Raja’s role is superficial and Lingaa’s role boost up the power pack style performance. Anushka was nice looking but somewhere styling was mismatch for her, Sonakshi sinha, a newbie in south films, was misfit in the role. And she seems not comfortable with the local language.
Brahmanandam’s comedy was pale,  Santhanam entertained at places, there were many artists on screen including Jagapathi Babu, none of them created impact on the film.
Technical Analysis
The movie is directed by KS Ravikumar. Music by AR Rehman was nice, Mona Mona song were very much impressive, BGM is also upto mark, a lot was expected from him especially after Shivaji and Robo.
Cinematography by Ratnavelu is good. Editing Samjith not up-to the mark.
The impressive story scripted by KS Ravikumar in collaboration with the film's dialogue writer Pon Kumaran.
Box-Office Report
Eros International had bought the film from Rockline Venkatesh for Rs.200 crore (US$32 million), which includes theatrical and overseas rights for all languages. The satellite rights of the film were purchased by Jaya TV for Rs.32 crore (US$5.2 million) movie also releasing in United Kingdom, Canada, Australia on 12 December 2014. Releasing over  5,000 screens all over the world.
Bottom Line

Except Rajini style, Linga has nothing to offer new. Routine story and the same action packs. Well it’s a power-pack entertainer, but fails to full fill the high expectation for a birthday party.
                      Critic Rating  :  7 / 10

Box-Office Collection
1st Day - Rs. 20-25 Crores expecting (exact figure will update soon)
